Hello and welcome to my blog! Today I'm going to show you a tutorial for a monster card I made. My mother in law wanted a couple of boy cards so this is the second one I made for her. If you have not already checked out my post, Out of this World, to see the other. On both cards I used colorburst in different ways so it would be interesting to compare the two.
Ok so here is is in all its glory! the background was made with....you guessed it...colorburst! So I started by cutting some American Crafts smooth white cardstock. I got out my craft mat and put my cardstock on it. Then I sprinkled some lemon yellow colorburst on the card and spritzed it with water. Next I sprinkled some ultramarine blue and violet on it where it was already wet. It gave me this neat firework effect.
Next it was time to work on my monsters, I got out my acrylic block, shammie, lawn Fawn monster mash stamps and dies, and memento ink. I stamped the images and wiped my stamps with my shammie.
Then I colored the little guys in with my Zig real brush markers. I love these markers!!!!
Now it was time to cut them out. I placed them on my cuddlebug with my new magnetic mat, a must have!!! No more wasting time and washi taping the dies down anymore!!!
I was ready to attach my little monsters to the card with pop dots! I think I might actually be the person keeping the booing pop dot business alive!

I am not an affiliate of my local scrapbook store but I love it! It
gives me my sanity and I consider it my second home! So I have to put
in a plug for my favorite scrapbook store! As we all know many of our
local scrapbook stores are an endangered species. So if you happen to
be in town or want to order online please do! There are so many unique
products available. I would truly appreciate you supporting my cropping
haven!
